Toronto, Ontario, August 8, 2011 – ENBALA Power Networks, a Toronto-based company that pays large electricity users to connect to the Smart Grid, launched a suite of four online videos this week to educate prospective clients.
The videos, which can be viewed at www.enbala.com/video.html, use animation to illustrate how ENBALA connects the demand-side assets of industrial and institutional electricity users to the Smart Grid to provide Grid Balance to electricity system operators.
“Grid Balance is an important service, and demand is growing quickly across the continent as the electric power system evolves and the traditional make-up of generation changes,” said Ron Dizy, President and CEO of ENBALA Power Networks. “These videos help explain what Grid Balance is, how organizations can connect to the Smart Grid through ENBALA, and what the benefits are for those organizations.”
Grid Balance is the continuous, real-time balancing of the electric power grid using demand-side assets. ENBALA’s innovative software platform provides Grid Balance to electricity system operators by creating a network of large demand-side assets and pays the owners of those assets for taking part.
“We’re entering a new era that requires new solutions, and ENBALA is on the cutting edge,” said Dizy. “Our new videos will help people interested in our innovative solutions to learn more about Grid Balance and about how the electric power system is evolving.”
