Toronto, Ontario, July 28, 2014 – Enbala Power Networks is pleased to announce that Paul De Martini will be joining the company’s Board of Directors. Mr. De Martini brings grid modernization expertise to Enbala, with a focus on transactive energy, distributed energy resources, and related business strategies. His forward-thinking views on the power industry seamlessly fit within Enbala’s next-generation technology and innovative business.

Mr. De Martini is currently Managing Director of Newport Consulting Group. He provides management consulting to technology and energy executives worldwide and is an advisor to several global cleantech start-up and growth firms. Paul’s work has consistently been recognized by the industry, including several awards for innovation and leadership from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and several leading trade publications.

Recently, Mr. De Martini was Chief Technology Officer for Cisco’s global Energy Networks Group. Previously, he was vice president of Advanced Technology at Southern California Edison leading their $2 billion smart grid strategy, policy, and research and deployment activity. Earlier, he was an executive with ICF International, several competitive energy services firms, and PG&E. Paul is a visiting scholar at Caltech’s Resnick Sustainability Institute. Previously, he was a member of the DoE’s GridWise Architecture Council, European Commission’s 2035 Strategic Research advisory group, MIT’s Future of the Grid advisory committee and the governing board for NIST’s Smart Grid Interoperability Panel.
